Accessibility Statement for trece.se/en
Trece AB is responsible for this website. Our goal is that as many people as possible should be able to use the website, regardless of ability, and in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. This statement explains how the website complies with accessibility standards, identifies known issues, and explains how to report problems.
Trece strives to ensure our digital services are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users, including those using assistive technologies.
This statement applies to the English version of the website: www.trece.se/en.
How accessible is this website?
The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This means that some parts of the website do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard.
Content that is not fully accessible
We are aware of the following accessibility issues:
1. Hidden images are still focusable
Some images marked with aria-hidden=”true” are still focusable or clickable. This may cause confusion for screen reader users and keyboard navigation.
2. Links without accessible names
Several icon-based links—especially social media icons for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Vimeo—lack aria-label or have empty title attributes. As a result, screen reader users may not understand where the links lead.
3. Insufficient color contrast
Text with light gray color (#707070) on beige backgrounds (#e1dac9 and #dedcd9) fails to meet the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1, especially for body text and menu links. This affects users with low vision or color blindness.
4. ARIA structural issues in navigation
Some navigation elements using role=”menuitem” are not contained within the required parent ARIA roles (menu, menubar, or group). This violates expected structural semantics for assistive technologies.
5. List structure issues
There are unordered lists (<ul>) that contain disallowed children such as elements with role=menuitem directly, which does not conform to proper semantic HTML.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We are continuously working to correct the accessibility issues described above. Improvements are part of the ongoing development and maintenance of https://www.trece.se/en.
